I don't mind Hispanics at all. It's the gangsters and chollos I do not care for and we have a ton of 'em in LA. I have no problems with race, what bothers me is going down the 710 freeway and 75% of the banners are in Spanish, along with half of the channels on cable. I understand that all areas have their pros and cons, there is no 'perfect' place. We are just looking for something that is a lot more slow-paced, quiet, and open. We want to be able to buy a home with some acreage and not have to pay over a million dollars for it. I want to not have to worry if my son bikes around the neighborhood. Just something different that's all. I am very interested in the Fayetteville campus, but I do wonder about getting a job. What are the job prospects like for an attorney in Fayetteville?

As much as I hate to say it NWA, SE MO and NE Oklahoma are being flooded wth illegals. Probably the best law school in the mid-west is John Marshall. However, Tulsa has a good law school. My attorney got his BS at UM and JD at Tulsa. For a large town there are some very nice areas and burbs where you can settle down. It has a nice mix of politiics, culture and religious diversity and some awesome places to eat. It has just about everything except Trader Joe's and Cosco. and like Fayetteville it is a beautiful town. The downside is it is in tornado alley. Generally speaking if you are careful in the selection of area where you want to live, you won't be bothered overmuch.
I like Fayetteville and I have friends there, but I think if you want to expand your careers you might have to rethink the area where you work.
And the same rolling hills that are in Fayetteville area also in Oklahoma..

If you love them, why you mentioned them and not the Chinese, Korean, or Haitian community for example?
With friends like you, they do not need enemies

Just wondering.
There are some nice safe neighborhoods in West Little Rock for you and I don't really see a lot of Spanish speakers...not that they don't exist...and not that I have problem with those who speak Spanish. Heck, I love 'em.
In any case, good luck with everything.
