Okay, I'll bite. You're wrong.
Maybe it was that trip up to Minneapolis earlier this month, but anything above 5 feels downright balmy at this point.
I liked it, though. Hey, if you're going to have winter, might as well be cold enough long enough to have some fun with it, I suppose. Unfortunately, I still live in the transitional zone, where temps vary widely between really cold and just cool. I woke up with snow on the ground this fine Christmas morning, and now it's all melted away...

Dadgum snowmobile would be a waste of money 'till I can get further north, or way higher up... whichever.

Hey, I'm comin' down from MI to AR New Years weekend. I'll be traveling on the 1st and 2nd to arrive at Horseshoe Bend for a couple of days and then travel back.

Anyone seen a forecast for the area for that time period?

I might postpone if there's an ice storm creating havoc on the highways or flooding along Arkansas' eastern flat lands; alluvial plains to you U of A types.

The weather is going to be "seasonal", Bull, which means upper 40's/lower 50's.

I think they're calling for some rain Thursday, but nothing serious.

You just missed a big ol' storm that went through the other day. It was monster nasty for about 15 minutes, and took the power out for 2 hours.

You also missed yesterday when it was 60 degrees and sunny, and today when it's supposed to exceed yesterday.

I'm kicking off the New Year's Eve parties at noon tomorrow, so I'll probably miss Wed.

Cozumel is doing a taco bar thing for lunch Mon-Fri now, and a nice little buffet on Sunday (as does Beach Club Barbecue).

Worth checking out.

BTW, if you don't get the paper, HSB is hurting and laying off employees, including one full/one part time police officer.

But, I don't know anybody in town yet.

Wait. ... That could be an advantage... [shifts eyes knowingly]

Mayor, huh?

Saaayyyy... Doesn't that involve ... WORK?

No, Nita, I think I'll pass. I'll just pay my taxes and run for supper when the time comes.

So, it's not going to be freezing cold there this weekend?
