Highfill info
Could anyone tell me about Highfill? Is there anything out there, business, etc.? Just curious. Saw some nice homes out there on the real estate web.

Highfill--NWA Regional Airport. They build the airport out there because it was relatively flat farmland. I don't think the population topped 100 when they built the airport. Now that it's there, there has been some development. But I think most of the people who live there who aren't farming their own property are working in Bentonville.

How far would you say it is from Bentonville?

5-10 minutes depending on traffic and how fast you drive. You come out on Rainbow Curve, so another 5 minutes to get to Wal-Mart G.O.

I'm sure there are some small businesses, a gas station, probably a hair salon, but the airport is going to dominate. Wal-Mart has a distribution warehouse out there as well.

The homes you are seeing in highfill are nice but they are in neighborhoods that only have 5-6 houses in them and the rest are empty weed filled lots. I'd stay away from Highfill as a place to buy a home, resale would be very tough.

That is probably why they are so inexpensive. Wonder if eventually they will build more homes out there. Thanks for the info.
