As A NYer who moved down here, I have to say the golden NY rule very much applies, the further you get away from Brooklyn the worse Pizza gets. That is not to say Arkansas lacks any good food, but when it comes to I-talian there is much left to be desired. I am truly amazed at how every Pizzaria is either a chain or a bar, where I grew up I could and would walk to 7 pizzarias and none of those places where a chain or even served alchahol and it was so much better. Maybe it is the lead in the water up there, but every NYer who leaves NY will always notice this.

IMO, best pizza in the state is(WAS) Cable Car in Fayetteville. I've not been there in about a decade due to my leaving the state for a while so it could have dropped off. I thought they were gone until just a few weeks ago!
Heard good stuff about Dam Goode Pies but haven't been yet.
I'm also a NY style fan. Only TRUE pizza! Chicago style can bite my a**.

I have always been a fan of US Pizza, but recently discovered Razorback Pizza located at the Morgan/Maumelle exit. They have fantastic pizza and on Mondays they have 10 for $3 wings, and the wings are fantastic. Great atmosphere with tv's everywhere plus one huge screen. They have good cold beer as well.

I was a huge fan of Eureka Pizza in Fayetteville. It was just off the campus in an old gas station.

Shotgun Dan's is excellent, imo.
Has anyone tried Old Chicago in Conway yet?

Mmmmm....NY style pizza... people think I'm nuts when I say how good it really is. Actually, I did hear it was the water that makes a difference- not too hard, not too soft. In fact in pizza making contests, contestants often bring their own NY water! LOL!

I vote for Geno's as the best pizza in Fort Smith.
