Hello Everybody,
As you know a tornado ripped through Dumas Arkansas a week ago today and tore up alot of stuff. After the storm a friend of mine heard that there was a place on the internet that is giving people down here $1500.00 to install a storm cellar. I have looked all over the net for this site and am unable to locate it. The tornado that went through Dumas missed my trailer by 6 miles and we had no where to go. By the grace of God we were spared unlike most of our friends who lost their homes and places of work. I have a child and I don't want to see her hurt because we don't have a safe place to go during a storm, so even though I am scared of closed in places I am willing to build a cellar for her. Does anybody know what site my friend may have been talking about? Please let me know if you do. Also, my prayers go out to those who lost their homes here and those who were in the tornado in Alabama and Missouri.

I know how you feel, and I heard you go through FEMA for the storm shelter rebate.... you might want to start there.....

First, you put in the storm shelter.

Next you contact the local FEMA Rep.

The rep comes out to your place to ensure it meets FEMA standards/requirements, takes pictures, measurements, etc.

If it's to standards, FEMA sends you a check. $1000. (This program will last until the money allocated for it runs out)
