The best value for the money anywhere is in Hot Springs Village. Members pay $20-$25 for green fee & cart (depending on course and start time), and there are 8 courses to choose from, including Isabella which is 27 holes. Memberships are tied to property ownership, but can be 'leased' from existing owners without having to actual take title to a property. I will direct message a couple of links that aren't allowed here.

Bella Vista golf and recreation works about the same, so does C. Villiage.

I am looking to play some courses that don't [does not] involve paying for a membership or owning some land. I don't really want to move HSV, but I would not mind going there to play a course...same holds true for most of the rest of the state with the exception of Fayetteville.

In Northwest Arkansas--Fayetteville's Stonebridge Meadows is a good public course. Rogers has Prairie Creek and Lost Springs both good courses. Pea Ridge's Big Sugar Creek is beautiful and challenging.

Golf Digest lists the top ten in Arkansas as:
1. The Alotian Club Roland, AR (Little Rock) - #1 new course in America 2008, #3 overall course
2. Blessings Johnson, AR (Fayetteville)
3. Isabella Hot Springs Village
4. Pleasant Valley CC Little Rock, AR
5. Chenal CC Little Rock, AR
6. Diamante Hot Springs Village
7. Hardscrabble CC Ft Smith
8. Texarkana CC Texarkana
9. Stonebridge Meadows Fayetteville
10. Granada Hot Springs Village
As you can see, 3 of the state's top 10 are in HSV. It's a very good value.

Alotion is 'very private' you probably can't get in without knowing a member. I was told you have to be "asked" to become a member but that may be hooey.
You can play HSV courses as a "guest" without a "member" present, but Diamante is a private club and I don't know their policy.

We played one in Little Rock that had a great volcano and waterfalls. Oh, you meant big person golf? Sorry...

For the money, in Arkansas, I don't think you can beat the two golf courses in Cherokee Village. These two courses are hidden gems, in my opinion. This is coming from someone who cannot play as often as I like. I still have young kids at home, so I'm still a working man, but I get to play golf maybe 20 times a year in 3 differrent states on various courses. I play Cherokee Village courses an average of 4 or 5 times a year.
There are never tee times, yes, never, and what they consider busy is not what you would probably consider busy. Incidentally, I've played a HSV course, and it was nice, but for the money and the serenity, it cannot beat playing a Cherokee Village course.
