Default Moving to Bentonville

Well, after looking long distance from Ohio at Bella Vista, we ended up buying in Bentonville. We purchased a home in Hidden Springs and are to close on 2/4/09! I was there from last Saturday until this past Thursday night when I returned to single digit temps. and let me tell you, I can't wait to move!

I drove all around Bentonville trying to get use to the streets, etc., and thought it was really nice. Bella Vista is lovely, but too expensive on the water!

Anyway, thanks to all on here who turned me on to our realtors. We did us them and they were terrific! I would use them again in a second!

Thanks again!

Stacy

Default Moving to Bentonville from CT

My husband is exploring an opportunity that would require us to move from CT by the summer. I have 3 kids and schools is the first priority. We are looking for a social community with lots of kids and activities. We currently live on the water in a beachside community so this is a BIG change! Any help would be appreciated!

you will have a little trouble finding the water, and the family neighborhood but you can find one or the other..

I would suggest you consintrate on Bentonville as they have good schools and lots of nice family neighborhoods..Fayetteville is another possibility. It is the most liberal of the cities and has a lot to offer because of the university, but if it were me I still think I would try Bentonville. BV, where we live is changing demographically all the time, but still has more retired people than families..If you decide to look in BV, which really is nice make sure you look on the east side of 71. That is Bentonville schools so has more young people..

It will be quite a change for you, but you might be surprised with all there is to do..We have lots of lakes, golf, fishing, hiking plus a lot more.

Thanks so much for your advice. Do you know any good neighborhoods/ schools that you would recommend in the Bentonville area? I am trying to find something similar to CT.
