Default An Arkansas Summer Place?

Forgive the play off of the old 60's Lettermen song "A Summer Place" but got a question which might put it all in perspective.

A while back I asked about a place on the White River that I remember visiting as a kid and want to take my own bunch back to soon. Could not remember exactly where it was...but I got a lot of so appreciated guidance on it!

Now then, if I may take advantage of Arkansas hospitality once again? Here is the next question:

A very good friend of mine recently relocated to Arkansas after his company closed their base. They live in Van Buren and he describes it as one of the most beautiful places in the world. I have no reason to doubt it!

Anyway, there were a bunch of us who used to run around together back in high school who have remained close friends over the years. And wanted to all get together this summer. What we need is a cabin overlooking a river or something, with at least 3 bedrooms. Four preferable.

The buddy who relocated told me he once ran across a site which featured a "lodge" on the Arkansas River...? (I hesitate because he wasn't sure himself, as it was just net surfing...). That is, a four-bedroom lodge with the main feature being a large den/dining/kitchen area. Fireplace. And with a porch overlooking the river.

Even if anyone doesn't know where he might have been talking about? Can any point me in the direction of something similar?

Thanks so much, y'all!

I am not sure of the exact place your friend speaks of, but here is a link to many lodge type accommodations in Arkansas. Good luck with your search and I hope you and your friends have a great time together.

Default Check out Heber Springs!

Located on the Little Red River.
There are tons of little cozy cabin rentals in Heber Springs. It's about an hour from Little Rock. It's quaint & cozy and the Little Red is well known as one of our countries best Fly Fishing Spots. Of course, even if you don't fly fish - you can still hook up with some lovely (and yummy) trout. There are lots of "natural" places to explore.

Luckily, my guy's parents have a beautiful cabin there so we get to visit whenever we want!

Good luck!
