Default Paris, Dardenelle, Danville?

Planning to relocate from COLDER Indiana to a warmer year-round climate, we have recently focused upon NW Arkansas. We're accustomed to living out and away from congested areas but want to maintain reasonable access to medical, shopping, eating, etc. We have lived on 6 wooded acres for the past 15 years and enjoy the relative solitude and the critters.

We would plan on buying a home in AR with enough property to keep us from gazing out our windows into our neighbor's windows and [hopefully] have a place for a barn or larger out building for truck, trailer, lawn equip, etc.

We would like to hear testimonials from residents in/around Paris, Dardenelle, Danville, Boonville. Our on-line searches show that average property values are much higher as you near Fort Smith or Fayetteville and we hope to avoid that scenario and get a larger bang for our buck by staying "out" a bit.

Also, since we're wide open to all the beautiful spots in the NWA region, we would love to hear any other thoughts.

Thanks

I would not recommend Danville or Dardanelle. Danville is suffering economically--one of the 2 chicken plants there (major employer) is closing. Out of the ones you listed, I would say Booneville is the best. I think places closer to Fort Smith or Fayetteville would be better. Russellville and Conway are also nice (Conway is my favorite).

I was down for a trip in November and there are 3 areas that I would select from-------Yellville, Clinton, and Booneville.

My wife was down about 8 years ago and checked out Paris by herself and really liked it.
This November ,when we went together, she stated the town seemed to have changed and she liked it better 8 years ago.
