No classes today. I'm somewhat sad actually. I got up all early for nothing.

Talked to my grandaughter in Mena a few minutes ago. Sounds like they got lucky. She said that they have alot of rain but no ice. She IS going to school.

Amazingly school is out in Mount Ida! KTHV is showing that we have patchy ice on our roads and that is why school is out...whatever! Our roads our wet, but that's about it. We do have ice on the vehicles though. I think the forecast is what prompted our school to close...it shows freezing rain today for our area and up to an inch of snow tonight. Bring on the snow, but the ice can leave!! My son is overly happy that school is out!

Hello neighbors to the East! Hope you are enjoying the ice offerings.

Here in south central Oklahoma it has been steady all night pretty much since 1 PM yesterday. So far so good, not as bad as some we have had. Looks like it is all tracking your way over the next 12 hours.

Here is a quick snap out the patio deck, sorry I didn't want to venture out into it, but I don't want a broken hip or arm from a fall. (Fat people and ice don't mix!)

That is ice on the ground, not snow.

Hope everyone stays safe!

Nice of her boss to call! Do they not post business closings there? I thought NWA was supposed to be the sophisticated part of Arkansas.

I made it to work, dodging all the people going 25 because the road is wet. The overpasses are iffy here but that is it.

Supposed to be 70 degrees here today. But I'd still rather be at the cabin.

Out here, that means, "Dave's Old Truck".

In the boonies, when the dirt roads freeze, and *everything* is either uphill or down hill, you park yer keester and find something to entertain yourself with.
