Default Any suggestions for a fun, camping and fishing place for the kids at Spring Break?

We would like to camp somewhere close to the mountains and have a place close by or right by our campsite to fish at. We don't want to be too secluded. We want to camp safe and be around where other campers are. Thanks for any places that you know of.....

The Albert Pike Recreational Area. In the southern Ouachitas: mountains, trout river along the trail (the Little Missouri), boulders, etc. A sense of the Rockies.

I second Daisy. Parker's Creek campground is near there on the southern shore of the lake, its fantastic. Great swimming and fishing in and on the lake. Cove Lake near Mt. Magazine is also very fun.

How about Lake Ouachita State Park? There are camp sites and cabins for rent. It is at the east end of the lake, North of Hot Springs and West of Hot Springs Village.

Lake Ouachita state Park near Hot Springs, Arkansas – popular fishing, camping haven
