I'm an RN, live in WI. We like the area around Bella Vista and have owned property there for several years with an eye on moving down there. My questions are
1) what health facilities are within a 30 min or so drive of Bella Vista that I could/ should consider for work. I'm presently work in a max security prison in Portage, WI., working in Health Care Services.
2) What's the pay scale like around there? And how bad is the economy going down there. Or how good?

The economy is weathering better than most other states, but it still isn't "great." As far as being an RN, you can find a job anywhere. The pay won't be as great, but the low cost of living balances it out. My aunt is an RN from Dallas and she moved here several months ago. She was hired within three days of being here.

I searched the term "RN" on Job Search | one search. all jobs. Indeed for the city Bella Vista, AR (of course it brought up jobs in Fayettville,Bentonville, Springdale...). There are 68 posted jobs.

A search in Little Rock/North Little Rock will bring up more but I'm sure you won't find any trouble having a job.

I used to work for St. Mary's- which is the one of the big health systems here in bentonville-rogers area... i loved it and they have great pay for nurses... and trust me they are always looking for more! And they do have a web site, i thinks its - mercy4u.com- check it out, they have posting and everything about it... and the hospital and medical center are next to each other and right off of 540 bypass in rogers, ar.... which is under the drive time you are looking for!
