Rogter....no, I don't live there, never have, as I said in my first post, but we go through it every time we go to our family cabin in the mountains. My mom has shopped there a lot at Wal-Mart and some pharmacy where she gets prescriptions refilled, and we go to a nice little antique mall/flea market there. We drove around last time we were there and looked at the college, which is really neat, and we go to the Atwood's every now and then. I saw your house on craigslist after you mentioned it. The area around the university is hilly and pretty. There's a new listing today for an older, white, Walton's-type house for $77,500....have you seen it? That's my kind of house. I don't know anything about the area it is in, though.
I can't tell you if it's the right place to move, because I don't know you. I can only say that it feels good to me around Clarksville, very scenic and country-ish. That's what I like. The town, as you say, is big enough to have what you need but not too big. And it's definitely in a good, central location in relation to all the fun things to do in the NW corner of the state. But I have NO idea what the people or the politics of the town are like, how friendly they are, how easy it is to fit in, anything like that.
Could you rent for a while to see how you like it before you put down roots? Have you ever actually been to NW Arkansas? I saw where you said y'all would be making a trip in the spring.
