There are a lot of bad drivers in NWA.
Many speed and drive like maniacs, don't use turn signals, don't yield, etc. Sadly, many of these are not teenaged and young drivers, but grown men and women.

This seems to be the case everywhere I go. We went to our place in north Arkansas from our place in north Louisiana Thursday night, after work and came back Sunday evening. I witnessed a whole lot of what you are talking about. People just drive crazy. When you are driving in 2 and 3 lane traffic and everyone is going the same speed in all lanes drives me crazy. I wish everyone understood that the left lane is a passing lane, not a cell phone lane.

Every state I ever drove in has the same problem. My state of Mt is a bit different though. We have locals who drive real slow and tourists who drive real fast.

I would pretty much agree with Rickers. I think the worst drivers I have seen are in Texas, I know they are. Talk about no turn signals and cutting in and out of traffic::wow!!!!

I agree with Steve's comment. I drove in Pennsylvania/Maryland not too terribly far from the DC metro for a little while and rode with my great aunt and uncle in Virginia along I-95 (three lanes on each side-bumper to bumper). Both were horrendous and would make some of the traffic issues in Northwest Arkansas and many places in the central third of the country relatively minor in comparison. Granted, I will come across a few crazies on the road when roadtripping through Arkansas and other places along my route, but I will have to be alert and do the best I can when driving (in a reasonable manner). There are even some bad drivers like ones mentioned in prior posts up here in South Dakota and the Upper Midwest (similar situations I have come across-pokey people camping in the left lane, no turn signal, etc.).

My problem is with slow drivers. I like to drive the limit. If it's 55, I'll drive 50-55. It seems in the last couple of years it's gotten to where I'm lucky to get to go 35-40. WAY too many people putting on makeup or talking on their phones instead of driving.
