Smile wanting to move family to mountain home arkansas

We are wanting to move to the mountain home area we are in our forties. We are looking for a slower walk of life. My husband will be laid off soon. I'm a nurse and know there are jobs for nurses. Is the rent reasonable? The schools welcoming? I saw the university is right there in Mountain Home which is great for our oldest. please let us know ?

I'm afraid I can't help you too much directly but just wanted to make you aware that the ASU in Mountain Home is an extension campus and not the home campus. The home campus is in Jonesboro.

Yes, the rent is reasonable, the area is beautiful, the people are welcoming, and you'll never run of recreation.

Mountain Home is a tourist and sportsman destination because of the lake.

There are a lot of "transplants" in Mountain Home, so you're sure to run into someone from our area.

There are also smaller communities around MH, in case you don't want to live in town.

Can't help with the job thing, but if you have a choice, definately move in April.

You're not going to be wanting to lug boxes in June or August if you're not acclimated to the area.
