I don't believe being hispanic..either full or in part will be an issue, or at least I would like to think that is the case. As far as preschool activites, I am going to be looking for those soon as well. It is not that large of a city so you will have less than a larger city, but we did not have a hard time finding a good daycare, although we had to put our baby on a waiting list.

I think there is still a whatta burger.
I don't think there is anyone on skates anylonger.
Fort Smith has some factory closings, but they are still hanging in there.
I don't know how PlayStation has anything to do with how well they have advance economically.
Kids playing in the streets? I guess it depends on the neighborhood. That seems like a very odd question.
There is not and never was a Whataburger in Fort Smith. A&W used to be out on Midland Blvd. but that building is now either a Mexican or Asian restaurant. I don't think there is an A&W at all now.

I have heard bad reports about the North side of Fort Smith from people who were raised here, but I don't understand why. And we are not strangers to crime, having lived in Denver, CO, Portland, OR and Los Angeles, CA.
I admit, I have only lived in Fort Smith for 3 years, but we love the North side...We were able to purchase a Craftsman bungalow for only $60,000--something you could never hope to find in any other state we have lived in. We live only a few blocks from the Belle Grove Historic area and I feel perfectly safe taking walks to view the wonderful old homes. We have never had any thefts or any problem with our neighbors and they are quite a diverse mix.
Perhaps this area just used to be an area you wouldn't want to live in?

$60,000 but how much work did it need? Have you spent much money on painting plumbing etc.

I looked this image up on google to know what you are talking about, yeah there are a lot of those in FS.
