I like living downtown. Convenient to all the good restaurants in town.

Do you live in one of the apartments on Garrison? It seems like they are putting a lot of new luxury apartments in the old buildings. I would love to live on Garrison but the rent is more for the location, of course.

Does Creekmore Park have a walking/jogging trail?
I think that's the name of the park, it's across from the main public library on Rogers.

I think they have a sidewalk that goes around the park, but the park is kind of small. They do have a nice city pool, but it is closed now because of the weather.

Thanks.
I'll keep the pool in mind but I can't swim.
I was looking for a place to jog and that park is located in a busy area, I figured it would be safer there.

I think it is a fairly safe area. They may offer swim lessons at the pool....never too old to learn. The sidewalk is fairly small, but I do see people running on it. There is another park with a larger running area, but I can't remember the name of it.

The Creekmore Park track is probably about a mile long. I see people running on it all the time. It is a nice little track. Ben Geren also has trails, but they are not in busy areas.

I take my daughter to Creekmore to ride the train all the time. She loves that train.

A mile is good for me. I only need to get in about 30 mins. of cardio anyway.

Is there much to do for children? Where we are now the City offers many classes and programs for my pre-schooler.

Also, while we "look" white, we are part Hispanic with a Hispanic surname. Will this be an issue for my child attending Fort Smith public schools? I've heard Southside High is predominantly white and wonder how welcoming the students would be.
