Exactly. When I was in Fort Smith you wouldn't believe how I was treated when visiting churches. Everybody has their own clique and are very non-accepting outside of that. Bashing somebody's car or throwing rocks at their house that say '***' is hardly a 'family value'. Amazing the hateful things people do in the name of a supposedly 'loving' God.

Did not really answer my question. I am a Christian, and although Fort Smith claims to be a "Family Values" kind of place and Conservative Christian... I don't see it.

I try and fail on a daily basis to show the fruits of Christianity, but a lot of people here don't seem to understand what the fruits are. They seem to focus on the sins that they don't have...abortion, homosexuality. I am not going to debate whether or not they are or are not sins, but a lot of people here believe they are.

What people here seem to forget are all of the other sins. Look at the so called "seven deadly sins". Lust", "Gluttony", "Greed", "Sloth", "Wrath", "Envy", and "Pride". IF these sins are what constitute Conservative Family values then they have that, but they certainly are not Christian values.

The seven deadly sins, including gluttony which people in Ft. Smith don't have a problem with judging by the kind of people you see around there are also abominations according to the bible. That kind of cherrypicking is what ticks me off.

Don't forget Wrath. There are some spiteful people here they seem to be angry all of the time or angry at anyone different.

----" the seven deadly sins"-----

I was taught that the ---seven deadly sins-- are not really sins by themselves, but are the seven things that lead us to sin.

Maybe the planners for a gay pride parade would pick Eureka Springs over Fort Smith.

Interesting how people can justify their own sins with stuff like this but are the first to condemn others for their sins.

How in the world can the --seven deadly sins--be sins by themselves?

I would not hire a worker who did not take --pride--in his work

As I stated, the 7 are dangerous cuz they can lead us into sin.

That isn't the kind of pride the bible is talking about. It is speaking of the arrogant type of pride - a pride all to common among Christians.
