Okay, here's the deal. Last summer I asked an old friend to travel with me on a trip to my parents home in Fordyce, Arkansas. I promised him a special "chicken fried steak dinner" (his favorite) in Texarkana on our way back to Dallas. Well, the darn restaurant that an old friend had mentioned was no longer in business. We're going back to Arkansas next week. Does anyone know of a decent chicken fried steak place in Texarkana, Camden, Hope or in that area? If I don't find him a good place, I will never hear the end of it.

If you catch the 1st cooking crew on at Fajita Hill in downtown Camden, you can get a great hamburger steak and I've never tried the chicken fried steak but I love the hamburger steak with marinated veggies/rice and toast. Wood's Place in Camden has the best catfish fillets in South Arkansas. You may change your friend's mind about chicken fried steak if you try Wood's catfish.
