Default Moving to Little Rock from Connecticut

I'm curious as to where is the best area for me. I am a single software engineer moving to Little Rock in April. I enjoy walking at night so as you can imagine, I would like to be as safe as possible. Are there any areas that I should stay away from? Thanks to all in advance

Stay away from areas South of I-630 and East of I-430. North of Markham is better, and North of Cantrell is probably the safest. Most areas West of I-430 are good, but again, you're better off on the North end (closest to the River).

If you're up for a brisker "walk", make sure to try Pinnacle Mountain, just west of Little Rock and north of Hwy 10 / Cantrell.
