Quarantine is on a distinguished road
Default Need help moving! Where to go?

So, here's the deal.
Me and my family are going to be moving pretty soon, but we don't know where we're going to move.
My grandmother and my brother are going to live with my boyfriend, step-father, and mother, as well as me.
The only problem we have here is that we want to find a nice 4 bedroom house for rent for less than 1450 (preferably) for rent.
I found plenty, but they're all in Little Rock.
:[ That's another problem. We don't want to be broken in and robbed every week.

My grandmother lived on West 35th street in NLR and she got robbed TWICE in less than a month. We moved, drove by there, saw the door kicked in AGAIN!

So, we want a place that is really, really safe. Safe enough where we don't have to worry too much.

I would like to find a place close to Pulaski Technical college that is also pretty close to ITT near University. Willing to travel up to 30 minutes to school.

We are very financially secure, but we're just having a problem finding a nice place where my grandmother doesn't have to worry.

Can anyone help us out? What are some good towns I can look at? and if you know of a house that is available tell me?

Thank you!!

BTW, New to the forum, so sorry if I screwed anything up

Edit;; We have a cat as well, but she is VERY VERY good and I'm not willing to get rid of her.

You might look at the other, non-contiguous part of NLR, out west of the airport toward Scott (beyond 440), maybe Stonelinks. There's easy access to the highway (15 minutes from downtown, going against the traffic), crime's not really a problem, and the properties are affordable. You could easily find a 1 level 4br home, complete with granite counters, etc. for that price. I know of at least one home near us that's 4br, about 2400 sq feet, selling at the fire sale price of 179K. I think you could probably get it for less tho and the seller might take a renter, who knows. I peeked in the window and the kitchen's tiny but well-appointed. If you're looking to be closer to shops and strip malls, the older parts of WLR might be better.

Yeah NLR is pretty good. That's where I live now, near the military camps.
Do you know if that home was for rent or for sale? If rent, how could I contact the person?

The area I'm talking about is more toward Willow Beach, about 15 minutes from Jax. I'm pretty sure its got a for sale sign but, in this market, that doesn't really mean anything. My DH usually goes for a run around there, I can ask him tomorrow to snag the # off of it. Maybe you should expand your search by talking to an agent about leasing or lease to own options tho. I bet there's a lot out there to choose from.
