I'm a student moving to mountain home arkansas from utah to attend school. I first need to find a job and apartment so I can liveto establish residency ( for lower tuition rates ). However I'm not sure how long that takes and where I can get a job and an apartment. any and all advice is welcome as this is the first time I will be living out of state and alone

You may want to scout the town and surrounding area in Google Maps or Google Earth. Use the search function to find apartments for rent or businesses that interest you.
The local newspaper is The Baxter Bulletin.
Do you have a particular school in mind?

The only school in Mountain Home is ASU at Mountain Home isn't it? I believe you need to be a resident for 1 year to claim residency.

yep, I think it is one year, or most states that is what it is. Along with living there, having an apartment you may want to register to vote as well. All this will cement your residency..

We just moved here and had a terrible time finding a place to live. Contact full circle properties, paige properties of mountain home, or ozark properties and rentals. You can google all three and they have websites with some properties you can view. There are some apartments, Cardinal Apartments, that look okay on the outside. Surely fitting of a student. I don't know if there is a way to private message me but if so, I can give you more information! We just moved here the end of April/beginning of May and are still adjusting. If you can private message me (since I don't know how) I will give you my email and can provide you more specific information that way. I don't want to post any links or anything that might be breaking the rules of this forum.

To PM someone, simply click on their name. A pop-up menu will appear. The second item is "Send a direct message to [insert name here]."
Guess if you never clicked on the name, you'd never find it.
Now, GET CLICKIN'!
