Eureka Springs in the Fall
We live in Oklahoma and I want to go see the beautiful Ozark Mountains, I was told that Eureka Springs is a beautiful area. What is fall like there? When do the leaves turn and are they bright and beautiful or dull and brown like here in Ok. We just moved to Oklahoma last year after being stationed in upstate New York for 4 years...I really miss seeing a beautiful fall season

It will be pretty, but it can be VERY cold in October in Eureka. It's a great place to visit no doubt though.

I already posted a new thread to help find a place.. but havent had much luck. We need a place for 4 adults 4 kids for 4 nights @ the end of Oct... Someplace homey, no B&B (too expensive) so we can just hang out with the kids and play when we arent looking at the area to relocate. Most places I'm finding are resort style..

The average temps for ES in October is in the high 50's. Not exactly frigid.

There are the regular economy chains in ES, but they wont be right in the historic district (you will have to pay to park or ride the trolley when going downtown).

We are looking for a cabin for all of us to rent.. maybe in ES West or in Garfield area. Everything just seems so expensive.. most cabins are $200 + a night...
