This appears to be the start of an early fall, some of the leaves started showing a little color change about a week or so ago and are continueing to turn every day. That is here in NWA. Of course it will be at least a month or more before we really start seeing the colors. Our nights are cooling into the 50s or low 60s and the days are mid 70s to low 80s.

Last year we couldn't sit on our screened in porch after about mid Novemember but the really cool winter weather set in just before Christmas. In fact there was talk about ice or snow around Christmas day. It didn't happen.

Good question... You never know with Arkansas. When I was younger, or as my son calls it "back in the day" lol, it started getting cold in September! Now it can be December before it really starts feeling like fall much less winter. This year it looks like the cold is going to come on a bit quicker than the norm though. I noticed when I was up in Fayetteville this weekend that the trees in the Northern part of the state are starting to turn, but the trees here in the Ouachita's aren't seeing much change yet.
