I think this is something you need to talk to the dept of emplyment about this. I thought it had been extended but I am no expert.

Unless you have already had the extended benefits. The unemployment office nearest you can tell you 100% whether you get them or not.

Ironic that you ask this today, as the extended benefit rule has changed this week.
Prior to this week you could draw the (1) initial unemployment benefits, (2) one federal extension, and (3) another extended benefit. Since the unemployment rate in Arkansas just dropped from 7.4% to 7.1% the second extended benefit has been cancelled. Anyone who was on the extended benefit has, or will, receive a letter letting them know that they will no longer be getting checks.
If you are on your original unemployment claim, you should be able to get an extension, but it will be your last extension before they cut you off. I know it is a tough market out there. Good luck on getting a job.

The extension that is still available to you lasts for up to 20 weeks. It depends on how much money you have available and what your weekly benefit amount is to determine if you will get the full 20 weeks.
They will tell you what the full amount of unemployment benefits are available to you. Divide that by your weekly benefit amount to determine how many weeks you will draw checks.

I don't know the exact formula they use, but my guess would be that your weekly benefit amount should be about the same on the extension.
BTW, where do you live? I bet someone on here might be able to help you find a job opening.
