Possibly moving to Memphis area and heard Marion was on the outskirts. Any info about housing, rentals, etc would be greatly appreciated.

Um. Do you have another choice? Marion in many ways remains a depressed Delta area...it's just north of West Memphis, but if you are commuting to Memphis, it is going to be BAD with regard to traffic...any particular reason you don't want a suburb of Memphis? There are some great ones!

Plus, if the earthquake hits, the bridges will be damaged and Marion will turn to quicksand. I would much rather live in Midtown Memphis than Marion.

Marion's growth over the past decade has been amazing, but the lack of progressive leadership is going to destroy that city's chances of becoming what it could be. Plus with it being on the Arkansas side, Memphis pretty much neglects it which is why Memphis did not do much to help Marion land that Toyota plant a few months ago. Move to Germantown, Bartlett, or Collierville even though it is further from downtown Memphis than Marion.
