It's got a tax stamp on it, and that's all anybody cares about.
The last time I was in there giving MO some more of my sin money, they had two different kinds, in jars, with fancy labels, on the wall, straight forward, after walking through the doors of hell and damnation.
I didn't try it, because we have it made locally, so in kind of a hillbilly way, buying shine somewhere else would be viewed as being married, having a girlfriend, then cheating on *that* girlfriend.
Ya just don't do that kinda thing.

And.............
On the moonshine note, be careful how much non-stamped you have for "personal consumption".
Ergo:
929 gallons of moonshine found in NC mountains - Yahoo! News

If you are talking about illegal shine it can be very dangerous, Its illegal so there is no control on how it is made or what is used to make it with. People have been killed from illegal shine, Or so sick they wish they were dead.
If you are going to buy moonshine buy it from someone you know and know how they make it or better yet make it yourself.

Personally, I don't understand why diet coke has no FDA prohibition, yet Moonshine is outlawed. Not that I'd ever think of making it on our land. Nope.

The danger comes from when idiots would use truck radiators and pipe with lead joints.
Or the ones that would sell methanol as ethanol.
That's the stuff that would make you blind or dead.
I really don't think that's been done for a long time.

We don't think that's been done for a long time but we don't know. And Iam not going to bet my life on it.
And the use of radiators for a presser tank and led is a real and does happen.
Buyer beware, Know how your shine is made before you pull the cork

I don't know what the penalties of making/selling moonshine is today.
Back in the prohibition days it was a year at Leavenworth.
Some of my neighbors' grandfathers made a fortune making/selling it.
Some of my neighbors' grandfathers sat in Leavenworth for a year.
