I doubt if I can give you much info. I go back there to visit. I left there in 1964 to go in the Air Force. Relative to the fifties and sixties it is certainly more properous today. I couldn't get a good common labor job in a factory in 1961 when got out of high school. But now you have Wal-Mart Hdq there which is in Bentonville seven miles from Pea Ridge. You also have J.B. Hunt Trucking Hdq and Tyson Hdq in Springdale about fifteen miles from Pea Ridge. There are probably more than a six small factories in the Rogers and Bentonville that do "light mfg" So far there are no factories in Pea Ridge a lot of new homes have been built there in the past few year. When I was home in 2007 there were new homes that were built near the farm where I grew up and they were advertised for $140,000 They looked like they might be in 1400 sq ft range. Pea Ridge probably has about 2,000 people. Typical nice quiet southern/midwesten town with good people for the most part. They have added new school in the past few years. The schools of course don't have some of the problems like disruptrive children not learning it is properly dealt with At least that my impression from reading the weekly paper from there.

I would like to more about a drug problem? My family lives in Bentonville now, and we think that Pea Ridge has beautiful country and acreage. We desire 20 -30 acres and the prices is more reasonable than Bentonville regarding land. I do have 2 small children so this is really a concern to me. I have had heard positive things about Pea Ridge, but was told by someone that there is a lot of pot in Pea Ridge. I got on the website to do some more searching. Please, I truly would like to know if this is a valid statement. Thanks in advance!

If you live in Bentonville, why don't you just check the newspapers? If a significant drug problem existed in Pea Ridge, you'd probably see some arrests being made by the county sheriff's office. Since you don't, there's probably not much of a problem.

That's a good idea to look in the paper. But the source that I heard this from does work at the Benton County Jail. I must admit that with my families busy schedule...the last thing I have time for is reading who has went to jail and where they're from.
