Do you guys think an Asian will fit in near at the city limit of fort smith AR? Thinking of moving to that state, and looke for a nursing job.
I know that Asians are a minority in the states, though they have China town and Little Tokyo, but my motivation to move to AR is to stay away from those busy and corrupted culture where I am from, just want to gain some peace of mind, I am bi-lingual. Hope I can help as a nurse in the AR hosptials
Any recommendatoins are more than welcomed.

There is actually a pretty sizable Asian population in Fort Smith relative to other AR towns. Many Laotion, Thai, Vietnamese and I think some Cambodian families who had helped the US during the war were relocated to Fort Smith after the US left.

Why are these the worst places? Is it because of the black population in all of those "worst places"?

Look at income and crime levels in those places.

Now what?

People love to go straight for the race card in these situations. Nevermind the facts, movingfromatlanta was obviously making a racist statement.

When checking out churches in Fort Smith , I noticed one Catholic church has one Sunday mass in Spanish and another Catholic church has one Sunday mass in Vietnamese.

The north side of Fort Smith is very culturally diverse. They have a Buddist temple, a synagogue, and, of course many catholic and protestant churches.

The south side of Fort Smith is not nearly as diverse. I guess when your school's mascot is teh Confederates, it shows a lot about your student body.

I grew up in Clarendon, and the delta area, it's not the black population that make them the worst places to live, it's the complete lack of caring from any of the citizens, blacks as well as whites. Go ahead and start throwing rocks, but i am gonna say it, the towns are over run with drugs, and lazy uneducated people. The schools are substandard therefor kids do not receive the education they need to actually make something of themselves, few people actually get out. Most (not all) have a "what is owed to me" attitude and expect to be taken care of and not work.

The crime rates are high due to the lack of intelligent police forces and underequiped ones. Drugs run rampid because nothing is ever done about it. It has nothing to do with the race of residents, those are the worst places simply due to lack of caring and undereducation.
