Real Canadians Stick Up For Universal Health Care

10 Myths About Canadian Health Care, Busted | Health and Wellness | AlterNet

Poll: Canadians like their health care despite grumbles | McClatchy

No country's health care system is perfect but we can learn a lot from other industrialized nations that offer universal health care. All of them rank better in health ratings.

I suggest you read Amazon.com: The Healing of America: A Global Quest for Better, Cheaper, and Fairer Health Care (9781594202346): T. R. Reid: Books. It's a great read, no matter if you're right, in the middle, or to the left of the political spectrum. There is no reason the U.S. can't have universal health care.[/quote
We are at the bottom of the list when it compared with other countries in regards to healthcare

Stick to the OP which is talking about the shortage of Registered nurses, or don't post. Seems the OP was satisfied with the answers received in this thread, as the poster said Thanks!

Hi, I've been an RN for 15 yrs here in CA and plan to move to AR this year to be close to my brother and sister-in-law. It sounds like the work loads and politics are the same everywhere. Can someone tell me what the nurse to pt ratios are for ICUs and ER? Thank you.

Yep, I suspect the situation is similar nation-wide. Where are you moving to and I'll see what I can find out?
