Which Asian countries you've seen have interesting sights that we would want to see? Not the Great wall or large monuments, but some place where other people don't know about

Western China

China has more than 50 ethnic minority groups(only 8% population is minority),many of them live in west part of China.Their lifestyle may shatter the stereotype of Chinese and Asian. The largest province in China, located in the northwest of China, called Xinjiang, has a lot of ethnic groups which are muslim and their appearance is not that closer to"Asian".They also have their own culture and architecture, even language.

And in the southwest of China, there are some other minority groups. They have their own cultures, too.Their lifestyles are quite primitive.

You'll be impressed with their culture and arts.

I think Darjeeling, India is one of the most beautiful places in Asia. It is at the foot of the Himalayas, surrounded by tea plantations, and has a strong Buddhist culture. The Dali Lama lives there.

I'm sure you know about Macau Izzy but have you ever been there? It's actually quite beautiful. The Spanish influence is amazing, as is the food! If you are looking for peaceful areas, maybe places around Tibet?
