One day I hope to visit the country of Georgia, and I want to learn the Georgian language before I arrive. What's a good resource to to use?

I've been eying the book/cd combo Beginner's Guide To Georgian by Dodona Kiziria. It's gotten good reviews on Amazon.

Any suggestions for a good Georgian language resource?

That is an interesting language to learn (Georgian)! It is great to see people wanting to learn new languages of all types outside of French, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, English etc.

Bookstores such as Barnes’ N Nobles most likely has some great books about learning the Georgian language at their store locations, in the World Cultures, and Languages sections.

Also, joining a language group with other people wanting to learn the same language where you currently live, and/or a trip to Georgia.

Are you of original Georgian heritage?

Georgia is an interesting country for plenty of reasons.
Also, Tbilisi, Batumi/general Black Sea coastline, and areas of the Caucasus mountains seem like great fun places to visit in that country.

Oh, I thought this thread was going to be about the language of the U.S. State of Georgia, lol. I would have been able to teach "y'all" that language.
