Many Americans say that Japan is the devil's country, since there aren't many Christians there and people freely have sex, unlike America where people only have sex when they're married, and only for the purpose of procreation.
No, that's just what foreigners think because they don't pay enough attention to our country. Like the Japanese, we've gotten a whole lot of stuff right and have built a fairly successful country out of Canada, but we are definitely not morally superior and, like any other country, we have a ton of sins to answer for. Ongoing, protracted (but bloodless) very complicated ethnic tensions between the French and English in Quebec. A terrible history with our Aboriginal peoples, and the situation has not improve much. They live in third world like conditions on many reserves and this is our national shame. The Alberta tar sands. List goes on. That's not to say we haven't done plenty right, but we ain't perfect either, we never have been.
There's no such thing as a truly moral country, but we can try our best regardless! Fight to right our wrongs and do what we can to live in just societies. This is the human condition, we will always get some things right and some things wrong.
Good points. Note that there are frictions anywhere in Canada where anglophones and francophones cohabit in decent-sized numbers, not just in Quebec. In fact, in most of Quebec there is none of the "French-English" thing to speak of because 100% of the local population is French-speaking. Same goes for most of "English Canada" - if there are few francophones around, there are no language tensions.
Language frictions in Canada are mostly found in southwestern Quebec (in and around Montreal in a 200-km radius roughly), eastern (in and around Ottawa) and northeastern Ontario, and in New Brunswick.

There aren't tensions between neighbours in the homogenous regions, but there are some very ignorant, uncharitable opinions.

Japan? Morally superior? Most people don't know Japan is the country with the highest amount of pedophiles and sex-offenders in the world. Ever wonder why their society is so sickly obsessed with youth? The sexualization and abuse of children there is shocking and staggering. If most people knew, they wouldn't praise Japan so much. Child porn is very legal and popular.. They have all types of sick top selling pornography such as beastiality and vomit and the most perverted things you can think of. Also, Japan has the highest rate of suicides in the entire world. So much for that orderly and peaceful sales pitch. People that constantly praise Japan really make me laugh because if you only knew how much dirt they cover up, it would make you sick. Also, about that earthquake thing? If you think the Japanese did that out of the love of their hearts, you are sadly mistaken. Japan actually has a system where when a natural disaster happens, if you bring back lost or stolen goods to the government, you are paid incentives. That's why it seemed like everything was so "orderly". And it pays off because it looks good on your country and people to the outside world media. If only the world media did it's research on the Japanese government, they would have known this. Now people are constantly comparing the Japanese to New Orleans. Which I'm not going to justify because what happened in New Orleans WAS wrong. However, there were ALOT of actual horror stories of people starving and not being able to get out of New Orleans to walk to the next town because the New Orleans police department REFUSED to let them go and actually beat and killed them when they tried to leave. There alot of sickening stories like that that pose the question, what would we do in a situation like that? So I have refused to have a judgement or opinion about that. I only know that raping, killing, & beating in any emergency is completely wrong and I will never justify it.
It's a troll post. Nobody here thinks like that. That person is an idiot.
On C-D, it's hard to tell. I bet there are some members who think that.
