A lot of crime is not reported in Japanese papers.

Really? Where do you think I get my news from? City-Data? The Miami cannibal is international news.

LOL have you really even lived in the States before? I did for more than 5 years and this just is NOT true at all! i.e. College dorms in real life, real-life stories from friends, and the list goes on...

Stumbled upon this on an unrelated topic.

This guy is treated like a celebrity, invited for interviews, to give acting roles etc. in Japan.

I think that says something if they won't even lock up a murderer/cannibal.
