Which street food classic sends your taste buds into seventh heaven?

Also which of these have you been lucky enough to sample in it's place of origin/where it's most popular?

I voted for lamb shwarma.

The list is missing an important one from the Indian subcontinent:

It is known as "Fooch-kaa" in Bangladesh and "Pani Puri" in India....yummy heaven !! Try it in a safe restaurant if you are there. The ones sold by street peddlers have the best taste but they may not suit the foreign stomachs due to germs !!

None on the list.

I would go with Yakitori or Takoyaki.

You failed to include jian-bing-guo-zi, a street food particular to Tianjin, but also found in Beijing and Shanghai.

It is a millet flour pancake, more like a crepe, fried with an egg cracked and spread over it. In the middle is an unsweetened fried dough twist. It is often served with green onions and chili sauce. Great meal year around, but best in the winter when the heat helps keep one warm.

Let me post a photo.

Roti prata/canai originally from north India that you find in Malaysia and Singapore.

The street foods you get in Asia are delicious in general.

Chinese dumplings: pork and chives, or pork and mushrooms, shrimp, crabmeat, etc.

I grew up eating that stuff.
