Hi Friends,

Thanks for sharing the useful information. Here i love various Asian dessert like Chinese, Thai and South Indian. These are my favorite dishes when i travel to Asian countries.. Particulary i love thai food very much. Because, when i travel to Thailand there are many dessert especially "Spicy Papaya Salad" i like very much... And i say thanks to all of them who are post various desserts.....

how is that a dessert? papaya salad is a side dish or a dish of its own!

never heard of tocino del cielo before. how different is it from flan?

Tocino del Cielo is very very similar to leche flan. It is richer and harder. Generally, flans in other colonies of Spain like Mexico consists of egg yolks and egg whites and milk but in the Philippines it is just all egg yolks and milk so it is more like Tocino del Cielo, but I think Tocino del Cielo doesn't use milk but sugar instead . My aunt does it a lot.

I think some Filipinos use this method because I have already tried some that taste like Tocino del Cielo but they are just not aware of the right name and still call it Leche flan.
