Never been to both countries but I picked Turkey. Turkey is geographically located close to Europe, Africa and the Middle East, so that's an advantage in travel. And I've read that Istanbul is very exotic. I would guess that Turkey is more liberal or open society (hint: women + bikini ) than Malaysia.

On the other hand, Malaysia is geographically close to Singapore, Thailand, Australia, and all of Pacific Asia as well!

That being said, bikinis and women and Malaysia is not something I readily imagine!! It does seem like Turkey does attract that, at least because of the amount of Europeans that regularly visit Greece/Turkey with sunbathing in mind!

Turkey. So many hot men in Turkey! And you see them in their speedos in Antalya. Ohmygod, I'll pass out.

Seriously. I choose Turkey, eventhough the economy in Europe is aging and collapsing. I think I'll enjoy my life in there better than in Malaysia. And I despise humid tropical climates. It's okay to have it a few months of the year, but all year round. Hell no! ♥

Bikinis aren't uncommon on Malaysian beaches, not just the tourists, but I'd say less so the native Muslims. Neither country cares that much how you dress and there are actually quite a few Muslim women in both nations who show their hair.

I can't talk about living although I've long thought the idea of residing in Istanbul was romantic.

I've been to Malaysia many times and Turkey is in my top 3 countries I want to visit. They are too different to compare, both great in their own way. Malaysia I love for the nature (rainforest, beaches, caves) and the food, Turkey for the history, scenery, culture.etc.
