Geography/Scenery: Japan - such a beautiful aesthetic quality to nature. Plenty of onsens. Mountains and ocean always within easy striking distance.
Mountains: Nepal
Beaches: Thailand. Philippines for quiet beaches and islands. Thailand for a social beach experience.
Flora: unsure
Fauna: unsure
Historical sites: Japan
Festivals: India
Language: Japanese or Korean
Cities/urban landscape: I'm bit fan of neon South Korea for nightlife, urban. Although places like Tokyo are certainly more aethetically pleasing, especially in the daylight hours.
Infrastructure: Japan, South Korea
Technology: Japan or South Korea
Food: Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea
Nightlife: Thailand, The Philippines, South Korea, Indonesia
First off, I am biased towards Hong Kong because I have lived there. However, I have visited most Asian countries so I have some opinion.
Geography/Scenery: China (huge country with numerous landscapes)
Mountains: China, Nepal, Japan, Laos
Beaches: Philippines
Flora: Thailand, Vietnam, China, Japan (almost all of Asia actually)
Fauna: Thailand, India
Historical sites: all
Festivals: Japan: organized and funded
Language: Japan, one of the easier languages of Asia
Cities/urban landscape: Japan, China (Shanghai, Beijing), Hong Kong, Singapore
Infrastructure: Hong Kong. It has the best transit in the world and some of the most reputable universities and hospitals in Asia. Everything is in English and most convenience stores & restaurants are compatible with the Octopus card. Without a doubt- best infrastructure.
Technology: Japan/ South Korea/Singapore
Food: Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan
Nightlife: Japan, Taiwan, Shanghai, or Hong Kong
People: Philippines. amazingly nice and hospitable people.
To live: depends....
College life: Hong Kong
Ease of travel: Hong Kong BY FAR- if you want to travel all over Asia. If you live in HK, you also can use Shenzhen Bao'an for access to cheaper China flights. Singapore is also another good hub, but it's pretty far from East Asia.
Geography/Scenery: China, by far! That mammoth has diverse sceneries.
Mountains: China again.
Beaches: A tie between Philippines and India. Some of the unexplored and virgin beaches and islands in Philippines' case.
Flora: Japan. We take flowers seriously! Eventho we have a lack of floral species.
Fauna: Philippines. Have you seen a giant flying fox? Or the tarsier? Beautiful miracles of nature! Both which endemic and can only be found in that island country.
Historical sites: China. Some of the greatest historical events that happened in the world.
Festivals: Japan. Again, we take festivals seriously!
Language: Japan. Easy to learn but difficult to master. (^0^)
Cities/urban landscape: Japan. No contest at all.
Infrastructure: Japan. If we're talking about modern structures.
Technology: Japan. Us again.
Food: Singapore. The best fushion of Asian cuisines.
Nightlife: Thailand. Anyone rode a party taxi cab?
People: Thailand. Very tolerant people. lol
To live: Vietnam. It's a growing country.
Ease of travel: Japan. Are you kidding me? We got the best of the best public transportations here.

Yeah and some of the most expensive. "Ease of travel" includes cost and language barriers- both which Japan cannot boast. Taxis are significantly cheaper in HK too. Plus the facilities and infrastructure are new. Japan is aging. I think the fact that the HK MTR is the only profitable and non subsidized transport speaks the truth. Efficiency is the name if the game.
And I thought I sounded biased.... Japan Japan Japan.
