I did like the air conditioned stations and how they had protective doors so you were not standing on top of an open platform (no fear of a crazy person pushing you onto the tracks).

I chose MTR, but that was based on being the best overall. In terms of extensiveness, it easily goes to Tokyo, while Singapore wins on architecture. Shanghai gets rate of expansion. However, MTR is the best-looking, reliable and extensive system that's still growing with ease of use for passengers.
