When I went to Ny I thought I was going to get run over. They are speed walkers! And they roll their eyes a lot. Lol

Mostly women roll their eyes a lot lol. I don't see that trait in a lot of NY men.

I'm 22 at this age. I'm in a strange situation where my brothers are both American citizens (by birth), my father is too (by birth), and my mother became one when she first moved to the United States decades ago. Oddly, I haven't been called upon for any services and I have to extend my green card next year. I've thought about becoming a US citizen but more or less these days, I've lost all interest in it. I'm a permanent resident of the United States, basically the same civic liberties except I cant vote. I could just change that though, if I ever do plan on applying for citizenship. The United States is realistically all I know, I've lived here for 20 of my 22 years of life starting before I even turned 1 year of age.

Do you have any plans to return/retire in Singapore eventually in your life?
My parents have been between the United States & overseas all their life. My father was actually born and raised in the New York/New Jersey area, while my mother was born in India but became a citizen before I was born. My father was on a IT project in Singapore when I was born, I was out of the country long before I turned 1 and in the United States where I've grown up all my life (with 2 years in India: age 3 to 5).

At the present moment my plan is to retire in the western United States (in either Denver, Tucson, Seattle, or San Diego any of these would be ideal) but I am indeed looking to living overseas between age 35-45 but will eventually come back to the United States.

Chinese Indonesian, born in the Big Durian aka Jakarta. Though I've been in the US since I was two, I'm pretty much American now since my command of the Indonesian language is pretty **** poor, bad enough that my relatives overseas get huge laugh out of it every time I attempt to speak it.

I don't really feel any connection to Indonesia, sure I go back for a visit once every 2 or 3 years but that's about it. Hell back when my parents left for the US, the Chinese weren't exactly the most popular ethnic group over there.

Well it is an American site.

I'm surprised i've met a few Singaporean Americans on the website, who frequent the city vs city and general US discussion. Even a major American city in the US like Portland lacks ANY Malaysian-Singaporean eatery/restaurant.
