Yes you can have a lifestyle not too different from what you're used to in Malaysia. Many wealthier Malaysians have it good. A lot of politicians are pretty rich. I've heard Malaysia can be unsafe but I don't really feel unsafe there. It's still nothing compared to Latin America or most of the developing world.

Suicide rate in Japan and Korea is horrible.
Quite a few people to work until 10:00 in the evening from 8:00 in the morning.
Toyota in front of my house have been working until 12:00 at night.
There are also many death from overwork and bullying.
In Japan and Korea, can not live without a religious servility.

In reality, the livability scores seem to ignore this. I think this puts Japan and Korea well below most European nations in living standards.

Those poor Japanese people. Why don't they take more time off? I'm sure they can afford it.

It seems this topic is also about finding some areas of Asia that can compete with Europe for quality of life, level of development, entertainment, etc. There is a lot of places in Asia that are on par with areas of Europe.

I view Europe and Asia to be equally impressive, magnificent, inviting Continental Regions with a lot to offer for people and the World.

These are some of the best countries in Asia for this topic: Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, South Korea.

Some of the best cities in Asia for this: Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei, Singapore.

Singapore, Japan, S.Korea are all really developed nations with high living standards and great infrastructures. I would say they are all great places to live, and the urban areas are actually better than most cities in Europe. If you're considering price as the most important factor, then Thailand or Taiwan are the best places to live in. If you're looking for an exciting, dynamic life of Asia and have some fortune ready, then I would recommend Japan. Tokyo is one of the safest cities in the world. It also has great points of interest, attractions, nice people, etc. Singapore is a safe and clean city too, but the laws are really strict there. I've paid some penalty wages there. You will be surprised to know how strict laws are in Singapore.
