The Philippines is luckier though in terms of shopping. The biggest malls IN THE WORLD are in the Philippines.

11. Rockwell Makati (Cluster of buildings owned by the Lopezes - not the big though)
12. Makati Circuit (under construction)
13. New QC CBD (under construction)
14. New Taguig CBD FTI area - (under construction)
15. Resorts World Pasay area (entertainment, hotels, condo,mall)

The list does not include CBDs of other cities in the Metro like Paranaque, Pasig city down town, Caloocan, Valenzuela since the building are not in cluster (i.e., scattered similar to those in Jakarta and Bangkok.)

At a first glance though, you can easily determine that 1st class type of malls in the Philippines are the biggest in terms of area.

At a first glance though, you can easily determine that 1st class type of malls in the Philippines are the biggest in terms of area.

This is ridiculous, why don't you try Indonesian malls and see how its first class first rather than making another blind statement.

But Manila definitely also floods, but mainly due to the clogged rivers, not because it's below sea level. And Manila is at a greater risk for a big earthquake because there's a fault line under the city.

The future is brighter for Jakarta, while Manila will sunk into the deep sea if it does nothing.

And do you even know how many volcanoes are there in Java that makes it quiet dangerous location? ohh and there are more risk to typhoon to Manila other than the earthquake.

Actually the top 2 are in China. Malaysia's 1 Utama is almost the same size as EDSA and the SM Megamall. Plus the income inequality isn't as glaring as the Phils.

Manila is doing something about it. They've been clearing the waterways and removing squatters who live right on the waterways. Manila's flooding is mostly due to the clogged waterways and not because of sea level (which is Jakarta's problem). But if they wanted to build a dam to close up Manila Bay, they could easily do that because the opening is so narrow. Jakarta is completely exposed to the sea

I think the two big ones in China are vacant, or at least one of them is.
