Happy New Year of the Snake! It seems that Chinese are going more international with their gala new year artists. An Israeli female was also scheduled to sing a duet with a Chinese one: http://www.jewishtimesasia.org/main-...yearin-beijing

I didn't know that. Thanks for the link. There are at least 2 dozens videos on youtube.
Let us know if you find Miri.
Celine Dion can sing in English, too, which is not her mother tongue, and after ten years as a successful singing star, she finally did. She is not from a country that makes official lists of Axis of Evil enemies, so she can sing in whatever language she likes without ruffling feathers.
What is this thread about? It's a bunch of music videos without comment.
Almost every singer in the world can sing at least one song in English -- even Celine Dion. Do you think it is "normal" for singers to be able to sing in English, but somehow worth a discussion thread if a-Canadian singer dares to sing in the language of America's enemy?
Here are China's two most popular singers, Teresa Tang and Faye Wong, "ruffling feathers" by singing in English.

This should be moved to the Entertainment / Music subforum.
First off, this is the Asia forum. And many of our Asian members who post in C-D, celebrate the Lunar Festival. Here is a Happy Festival Celebration to all of them.
Secondly, the Asian communities in Canada do celebrate this same Festival as well, e.g. the Korean, the Vietnamese, the Philippines, the Thai, the Bruneian, the Malaysian ... besides the Taiwanese and the Chinese.
Thirdly, since you do not even recognize the Prime-Minister of Canada and the Premier of the Province of British-Columbia and their message to our multicultural communities, you may want to go play somewhere else.
Please register to post and access all features of our very popular forum. It is free and quick. Over $68,000 in prizes has already been given out to active posters on our forum. Additional giveaways are planned.
