Our surname was Koo, which according to chinese people is both chinese and korean. Our grandfather moved to England and refused to talk about his background. We've spoken to relatives of his and they claimed they weren't chinese but refused to comment further. Physically we don't look chinese and in fact many chinese people ask what part of korea are we from? We are also mistaken for japanese.
like fujianese...basically the dispora chinese who hail from the southern regions of china
