Both, i prefer the ones in their 20's, some times 30's no experience with older kathoeys since most don't age well also thanks to yaba/ice.

As in drugs? I thought drug laws were really tough in Thailand. Is drug use prevalent among kathoeys or bar-girls in general?

Drug laws are really tough in Thailand but Yaba/Ice (Meth) are easy to find even more so than weed.
Most of it comes from the North, around Chiang Mai and the Myanmar border (The Golden Triangle).
I don't have exact numbers but i think at least 20% of the kathoeys/bar-girls smoke it daily-weekly.

I've heard tales of ladyboys and bargirls being violent. Do you think ice could have something to do with this?

Oh yeah for sure.
The comedown of it is the worst feeling ever.

Makes me doubly glad I 'escaped' from the ladyboy in Patong. I've heard some of them could be violent. She wouldn't take no for an answer, even after I clearly told her I wasn't interested.

Hey man, I remind you that you're asking about why is the Singapore's "Government" against homosexuality, not about why you or Americans or anybody else's reasons, but the Singapore's "Government". Do you get it? And I didn't say what you said at all. That's your own interpretation. The Singapore's government don't even know what is "Singaporean identity". That's why they don't care. The function of the government is to make their citizens satisfied with public affairs, not to keep identity or anything. If you are a government and keep doing that kind of nonsense, you won't get re-elected.

I'm not gay but I am never going to have kids, should I be illegal too?
There's no answer of should or shouldn't. It's about how that thing perceived by authorities. If it's perceived as decreasing population, there's an action. No need to prove that's it's true or false, agree or disagree.

P.S. Public perception is not fair as well as public policy. There are always loss and gain. If you're the government, you have to decide which direction you have to select, even it gets no approval by some groups of interests, or even it's totally disapproved by somebody in society.

I also hear that oral sex, homo or hetero, was banned until recently. Yet paradoxically, Singapore is the ONLY nation in South-East Asia where prostitution is technically legal!

Many gay Singaporeans flock to Thailand and Indonesia, I know, and I'm not sure if that's such a good thing with regards to possible STD's etc. I'm not gay myself, nor do I really know much about what being gay in Singapore is like (I remember watching a movie about it though which was interesting) but Singapore's laws against homosexuality do seem quite interesting in such a supposedly modern state.
Singapore is deeply authoritarian. It has a modern economy, but everything else about it is deeply authoritarian. Corporal punishment for crimes that are misdemeanors punishable by small fines in most countries, capital punishment for a range of offenses from gun possession to drug possession, eugenics programs, widespread censorship, and so on.

That country is only good for shopping and eating. Seeing as how I am indifferent to malls, I would only want to go there to eat.

I have never heard of gay Singaporeans flocking to Thailand or Indonesia, like I mentioned in my previous post gayness is very open here to the point where its even a fashion statement, gay bars for women or men are located in the affluent areas such as Tanjong Pagar.

Its illegal to be gay in Singapore if you are a man but not illegal if your a woman. Although is against the law I can say for sure its not enforced as mentioned gays are out in the open in here and although Singapore is a land of many laws its also true many are not taken serious such as the gay law, the ban against pornographic material, chewing gum, oral sex although this was legalised a few years ago I believe.
