I'm Asian-American and I have nice teeth mainly because I had braces but also partly I feel because I've been in the US all my life where teeth care/ aesthetics are highly valued. I strongly believe if I had grown up in Asia, my teeth will not be as nice....
I'm curious- Asians in which Asian countries generally tend to have the nicest teeth?

South Korea has the BEST by far. Not kidding either. Just naturally straight, healthy looking, etc. No question about it.
China and Japan both have the worse I've ever seen. I don't really recall Southeast Asian nations really striking me one way or the other.
But, China, you see a lot of yellow teeth.
In Japan, you see crooked teeth all the time. You also can see a lot of grime and filth in some of those crooked teeth as well. Not attractive at all. But, apparently snaggleteeth are actually popular in Japan.
I don't recall ever seeing crooked teeth in South Korea though. They have more of a Mongolia connection - amazing jawlines, strong thick hair, straight teeth, nice smiles, etc.

What are snaggleteeth and why are they popular in Japan? Then again they have some pretty weird fashion trends there so maybe not so surprising lol.
Can you comment on India? Or is my impression way off?

I visited Mumbai, but I just can't recall teeth one way or the other. You probably have a better impression as part of the Malaysia/Singapore diasporia.
Basically it's when teeth grow in all crowded together and some overlap each other. Just one big crooked mess. It's common in Japan, and considered attractive. Some Japanese even pay their money to have them crooked and a mess.
Definitely without a doubt, Japan has the worth teeth in Asia. I'd say China would be next, just due to poor hygiene. Whereas Japan has the hygiene, they just like the crooked mess, for whatever reason.
South Korea has the straightest by far. Koreans are just blessed genetically with the best cheekbones and teeth and everything else.

Geez that's bizarre, only in Japan I guess.
For some reason I just have this image of Indian people having shining white teeth. Maybe that's why they're always flashing their smiles, showing off their teeth? lol
Indians seem to have nice big strong teeth, probably because they eat more dairy products in their diet
Vietnamese seem to have weak narrow teeth, look like a childs size teeth that never fully developed
