Hi, allow me to provide some insight. Our original family name was koo, my fathers name was hoq-lin koo mo shan whilst my mother was mainly indian with some tibetan. He was born near hong kong but his family always maintained the stance that based on their physical features they weren't originally chinese other than that they refused to talk about their background. And even then we only presume they're from the south,His father was a buddhist monk moreover all his siblings were pale. As per the pictures they had sharper features, taller than the average southerner, single eyelids. Our names aren't monosyllabic like chinese. My personal name is ko-lan koo. We also have been born with a blue spot on our behinds which according to our korean friends only appears on them and mongolians. Adding on from that when we go to places with large chinese populations such as chinatown they tend to think we're not chinese and indeed once we were greeted in korean. There are some unusual cultural practices which may or not be chinese such as a religious ceremony with a bowl once a year(?) p.s.- he was often nicknamed bok/ ok su if that means anything. As a child he said he would collect snow from the mountains to make ice cream.
Thanks in advance,

You already told us all this, verbatim. What are you asking? For us to be your genealogist?
