l picked the only four I've visited, but I call them favorites, because I still think that was the best part of China to visit.

Guangdong, Guizhou, Guangxi, and Hunan. Almost into Yunnan, and I'm sorry I missed that. I was only as far as Xingyi, and that was before the Nanning-Kunming railroad was built.

I like almost all of China. If I had to pick a least favorite area, would probably be Guangdong and the east coast (Shanghai region). So generally the south and east. But I do like Hunan province-my favorite food in fact. Love the southwest, particularly Sichuan. Enjoy the far west, north and northeast. The main thing that gets me down about China, is that it is an ecological basket case. Air, water, soil, everything. No matter where you go now. The tragedy is it's all self-inflicted. And I think it is likely too late to turn it around.

Yunnan is pretty awesome in terms of outdoor living and a natural environment. Go in the summer and enjoy the mild temp when the rest of China is hot as hell and humid. The problem with Yunnan is that there aren't many stable foreigners communities as most people living there are teachers or students. Not many office jobs in Kunming or esp the nicer countryside areas. IMO Guangdong for living is the best province in China.

What are the attractions of Hebei?

I feel Fujian is a bit overlooked by tourists. It's one of the nicest provinces and I think the people there are quite friendly.

I voted for provinces in China I know enough information about to know they are my favorite provinces in China. I have seen photos for most provinces of China related to scenery, and this is also important for knowing the favorite provinces: Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Hainan, Yunnan, Tibet, Xinjiang, Shandong, Heilongjiang, and Liaoning

Fujian is one of the few provinces I have not seen any photos yet, and not enough information. When knowing Fujian more, I might be impressed, and even would vote for Fujian too.

I know the entire country of China relatively well, just not for Fujian province.

I am surprised Szechuan/Sichuan province is having the highest number of votes for any Chinese province and 8 votes up to now. This province is so heavily populated, extremely cloudy/cloudier than England, one of the most polluted, and very far from the ocean.

Most Chinese provinces away from the Northeast have better air/water quality, and less pollution compared to parts of Central Eastern Szechuan.

Then again, parts of Western Szechuan is in the Chinese Himalayas so there must be division in this province. The original food scene is a positive contributor to Chinese cuisine, and the city of Chengdu.

I expected the provinces of Heilongjiang, Shandong, and Liaoning to have more than 1 vote up to now.

If i travel to China i would visit more than one province, i would make these combo's:

Sichuan - Chongqing
Fujian - Zhejiang
Jiangsu - Shandong
Yunnan - Guizhou - Guangxi
Tianjin - Hebei
Shanxi - Shaanxi
Hubei - Hunan - Jiangxi
Henan - Anhui
Liaoning - Jilin - Heilongjiang

I think i visit Guangdong, Hainan, Tibet and Inner Mongolia all in different trips.

Not interested in visiting Northwest China:
Xinjiang
Qinghai
Ningxia
Gansu
