It ranks high, right along with Sydney Harbor. On a trip to HK, I visited the famous "Victoria Peak" and had dinner at the Peak and went to the observation deck afterward. Beautiful.

I also flew from LAX on Cathay Pacific, on an afternoon departure, which arrived in HK (old airport, Kai Tak) in the evening and we passed over the harbor, and it was a beautiful, breathtaking view.

What other cities would you rank up there with Hong Kong, and in what order?
Those are good ones. For other city harbors, Rio de Janeiro, Vancouver, Lisbon and San Francisco are notable, too.

I visited Hong Kong on a rainy day when one couldn't see from Victoria Peak too much because of the low lying clouds. But of what I did on the way down when the clouds started to lift and from photos, I would say the views are great and definitely world class.
