I'm intrigued by the largely populated Johor Babru in Malaysia. But I haven't heard anyone ever give any touristic value to visiting the city. Is it really just spread out shopping and cheaper housing, and not much more to it than that?

Are there areas worth walking around and exploring? Or is it mostly a very car-oriented shopping and apartment-living type of place with plenty of parking lots?

What's the best thing about Johor Babru? What are the worst things?

There's Legoland, but I haven't been. I only remember passing through it going across the causeway, or as a short trip from Singapore for cheap shopping. Nothing remarkable about it, although Endau Rompin NP in southern Malaysia is worth checking out.
